LEADING ICE SKATING IN QUEENSLAND
Ice Skating Queensland is administered by an elected volunteer Council that serves as the official custodian of state ice sports. Rather than operating under a distant corporate structure, our leadership framework directly links grassroots winter sport clubs with national regulatory bodies.
Supported by targeted finance, governance, and technical advisory committees, the Council ensures full compliance with the National Integrity Framework. We manage state assets, modernise operational policies, and maintain transparent constitutional standards to protect and advance our entire skating community.

For The Love Of The Sport
The ISQ Council actively maintains institutional stability by dividing core responsibilities across specialised, volunteer-led sub-committees. Rather than relying on a singular voice, this structural setup ensures that financial oversight, legal risk management, and everyday sporting operations are run by experienced community members who understand the sport’s specific needs.
Through our dedicated Finance, Risk and Strategy Committee alongside independent Governance Advisors, we carefully manage the annual budget, review club regulations, and modernise the ISQ Constitution. This focused administrative framework keeps our operations fully compliant with federal sporting principles while directing resources straight back into athlete development.
